Prayer Group

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday in the month at 7:00pm in the Prayer room in church.

There is no age limit - everyone is welcome to come along.

The prayer group started about 2002 and is now well established.

Our meetings start with a bible reading or something on the subject of prayer. Then we discuss WHO or WHAT we want to pray for.

As we do this I am reminded of Isaiah Ch. 65 v 24:-

“I will answer them before they even call me. While they are still talking to me about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers.”

We enjoy our time together praying silently or out loud, realising that words are not important because the Holy Spirit helps us with this.

Again a verse from the scriptures – Romans Ch.8 v26

“And in the same way - by our faith - the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don’t even know what we should pray for, nor how to pray as we should, but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words.”

Assuring us that our prayers are heard and answered in the Lord’s way.
