E100 Bible Reading Challenge
"I've read bits of the Bible but I don't really know how they all fit together."
"I love the Bible. I'd like some help to understand it better and how it applies to my life today."
"I've never read the Bible much but I'm interested in finding out more of what's in it."
Any of those quotes sound like you? Then the E100 Bible Reading Challenge is for you!
During the first part of 2011 we will be encouraging everyone in Garnerville to take the E100 challenge. The challenge is to read 100 carefully selected, essential, short Bible passages - 50 from the Old Testament and 50 from the New Testament. The passages are usually one to two chapters in length and can easily be read in 10 minutes or less.
The passages are divided into groups of five, to be read over the period of a week. During the week members of the congregation will write some of their thoughts on the passages and post them on the blog. At the end of the week the sermon will focus on the passages, and hopefully incorporate some of the comments or questions posted on the blog www.garnervilleblog.org
So check back in the New Year for further details.
Download the E100 Planner which explains what the E100 challenge is. It also gives some tips on how to read the passages and resources that are available. The 100 Bible passages are also listed, along with the dates we suggest you read them.
See also the E100 website for more details.
